'Lok-hit Movement' has succeeded to a great extent under
its long term empowerment programme of socio-economic
upliftment and promotion of education among educationally
backward sections of society and as a result tremendous
awareness towards education is seen which was unseen before.
The Movement aims at social awakening
among people and for this 'Gujarat Today' gives coverage
to news and articles to make people aware of their constitutional
rights and in cases of infringement the Movement provides
free legal aid to victimised poor people and also initiates
legal action in matters of public interest concerning
the weaker sections through co-ordination with NGOs
working in the field.
The
fact that large number of people are approaching 'Grievance
Cell' and 'Legal Aid Cell' of the Movement is the sign
of awareness towards their constitutional right viz.
justice.
